The name comes from Kalamata, Greece, where John Sgourakis’ father, Bill, grew up. After Bill passed away in 2020, John wanted to create something that would keep a piece of his father and their Greek heritage alive. Even the olive oil we serve comes from the Kalamata region—a simple but meaningful connection to the place his father once called home.
